He works in internal audit analytics: how internal audit, risk and compliance teams use data analytics and AI to test controls, find what matters and give the board an earlier, sharper read on risk. He writes for internal auditors, risk and compliance officers, and heads of audit in financial services.

Before founding the company in 2025, Tony spent more than fifteen years in data science, nine of them in audit analytics at M&G, where he built and ran the function: the team, the methodology and the operating model. He has trained audit teams across seven countries and works with structured, unstructured and NLP data at scale. His core tools are R, Python and Databricks, applied to anomaly detection, risk scoring, controls testing and data storytelling.

Pattern Chaser is independent and operator-led. The writing comes from having done the work: built the capability, handled the stakeholders, faced the politics. It is operator-teacher writing, not content marketing.
